The Werkschulheim offers a wide range of aspects that prepare pupils for working life. The social aspect in particular, such as the willingness to perform and the high expectations between classmates and teachers, as well as the willingness to stand up for the group are essential core elements that also made it easier for me to work together in a military environment. I was able to apply the solution-orientation, resilience and creativity in thinking that I learnt as an individual at the Werkschulheim, particularly in deployments at home and abroad.
When asked whether I would visit the WSH again, I can only think of one answer: Yes!
