Rollo furniture „København“

Nora Ober

The simple form of «København» is based on the clear lines of the Scandinavian style. The result is a piece of roller blind furniture that not only fits seamlessly into almost any ambience, but is also versatile thanks to its harmonious proportions and the practicality of the roller blind. Technically speaking, it consists of an independently functioning inner body in 16 mm STÄ board with walnut veneer. On which the two 20 mm thick solid walnut panels, in which the CNC grooved guide system runs, are fixed. The piece is characterised by its uniform walnut roller slats, which are glued to linen. The roller blind disappears behind the grooved back panel made of solid wood, which also supports the slatted look. As a result, not only the plain front is impressive, but also the back panel with the same look. Thanks to this ingenious mechanism and the interplay of the different radii, the roller blind merges smoothly into its hidden spout. Inside are two hand-jointed and classically guided drawers. The harmonious, round design paired with the dark walnut wood makes it a real piece of jewellery for any home.
