Bar cabinet

David Schlick

The bar cabinet I designed is made from a blockboard veneered with smoked oak. In addition to storage space for wine bottles, the bar cabinet also has two drawers at the top for storing bar utensils. The solid slot and peg frame for the wine bottles can also be removed to reveal additional storage space underneath. The free storage surface has a milled LED strip at the back, which creates a pleasant ambience and illuminates the objects placed on it from behind. Doors and drawers can be opened using milled handles in the fronts. On the inside left, a mirror with a solid wood grid above it is glued to the rear wall. This rear wall emphasises the objects placed on it. A beige ceramic panel was glued to the top of the unit as a storage surface, which is very easy to clean and also blends in with the look of the piece. The side frame and the base are made of iron, surface-treated to resemble brass.
